SAY NO TO YOUR NEGATIVE SELF!

Let’s see….do I FEEEEL like going to the gym? NO OF COURSE NOT!! Get behind me SATANIC EMOTIONS!

1 Timothy 4:8 NIV
[8] For physical training is of some value, but godliness has value for all things, holding promise for both the present life and the life to come.

Actors, Artists, and athletes refer to their bodies as instruments. Their body needs to be in step with their mind, and spirit. Whatever you do, taking care of your physical body will give God and you glory.

Allow your negative emotions to control your behavior and your life will look like this:

Proverbs 24:30-34 NIV
[30] I went past the field of a sluggard, past the vineyard of someone who has no sense; [31] thorns had come up everywhere, the ground was covered with weeds, and the stone wall was in ruins. [32] I applied my heart to what I observed and learned a lesson from what I saw: [33] A little sleep, a little slumber, a little folding of the hands to rest— [34] and poverty will come on you like a thief and scarcity like an armed man.

My story:
As a young man, I was involved in sports and activities and excited to be challenged. As I got older, my self got less excited to push its self. I became a fat older man losing my zeal. I then learned how to connect with God in prayer. I realized that I needed His strength to assist my weak strength.

1 Kings 18:45-46 NIV
[45] Meanwhile, the sky grew black with clouds, the wind rose, a heavy rain started falling and Ahab rode off to Jezreel. [46] The power of the Lord came on Elijah and, tucking his cloak into his belt, he ran ahead of Ahab all the way to Jezreel.

In verse 46 it shows God’s SUPERNATURAL STRENGTH GIVEN TO ELIJAH!

Verses 46: “ran ahead of Ahab all the way to Jezreel.”

Divinely energized by extraordinary strength, Elijah ran before Ahab’s chariot to Jezreel (a distance of about 16 miles). This dramatic scene, with the Lord’s prophet running before the king and the Lord himself racing behind him riding his mighty thundercloud chariot, served as a powerful appeal to Ahab to break once for all with Baal and henceforth to rule as the servant of the Lord.

1 Corinthians 9:27 NIV
[27] No, I strike a blow to my body and make it my slave so that after I have preached to others, I myself will not be disqualified for the prize.

James 5:16-18 NIV
[16] Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective. [17] Elijah was a human being, even as we are. He prayed earnestly that it would not rain, and it did not rain on the land for three and a half years. [18] Again he prayed, and the heavens gave rain, and the earth produced its crops
