Swift Transition And A California Beach Day – April 26, 2015

It’s Spring Season in the City of Angels: perfect time to visit the beach! This Sunday, the East region had a special Beach-themed Sunday Service, kicking the morning off right with joyful songs and hymns to praise the Lord.

Portland Oregon Disciples In The East

There were additional exciting events that happened at the East Region church service today. Brothers and sisters from Portland Oregon International Christian Church came to scope out the land as they prepare for their transition from the Pacific Northwest to Los Angeles County.

For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.
– Ephesians 2:10 NIV

Lastly, Ricky Challinor preached a powerful sermon titled “Three Words That Will Send You To Hell,” a convicting lesson that taught disciples to rid their hearts of any selfishness, pride, and apathy. Click here for our April 26 Sunday Service Sermon.

Church does not stop here! After service, many disciples from the East traveled to Dockweiler Beach for two reasons:

  1. To praise our awesome God
  2. To celebrate our sister in the faith Joanna’s birthday!

They celebrate your abundant goodness
and joyfully sing of your righteousness.

– Psalm 145:7

Smiles were exchanged, prayers were heard, and the love of God’s people spread among the shores of LA. Here are some photographs to commemorate the fun, unifying times from this Sunday:
